The IJN's ideal destroyer built during WW II, HIJMS Kagero was armed with the Long Lance Torpedo. Kagero and her sisters fought through out the Pacific during WW II.
The first IJN kit from Blue Water Navy, the kit measures 13 inches long. The kit features a highly detailed main deck not seen on model in this scale. The smoke stack, bridge and turrets are reproduced in perfect scale. The bridge is even detailed in the inside. The hull is split at the waterline (full hull or waterline construction). All small parts are cast in pewter metal. An extensive photo-etched brass sheet is provided to complete the kit. The HIJMS Kagero kit makes a nice contrast to ships produced for the US Navy.
