The Sierra is one of two new Russian submarine classes seen in the west during the 1980's.
Using plans provided by sources inside the Russian Navy, this kit has all the details seen on the real thing. The kit measures 11 3/4 inches long. the hull is a single piece casting. Fine pewter metal make up the dive planes, and a small photo-etched brass sheet is included.
