The Yankee Modelworks kit of Farenholt depicts the ship as she appeared in the desperate and heroic struggle for Guadalcanal in 1942. The kit measures 11.5 inches long. The kit is comprised of a single resin upper hull, a single piece lower hull (allowing for full hull or waterline construction), resin stacks, turrets and platforms. Other features of this kit are flat sided smoke stacks, lower squared shaped bridge and cut back center deck house. Small parts are cast in fine pewter for extra strength. A photo-etched brass sheet completes the kit with over 75 parts. A great kit for anyone who has built a few resin kits.
