This is a massive kit. While not for the novice, this kit will take time to build in order to display her in all her glory. A center piece model that is on display in the Imperial War Museum of England, this kit can be your center piece as well.
This is a massive kit. While not for the novice, this kit will take time to build in order to display her in all her glory. Blue Water Navy kit features a 2 foot 4 inch length hull. The hull is split at the waterline to allow the modeler to build a full hull or a waterline model. The kit has a complete and detailed hanger bay. All the platforms are reproduced in exact 1/350 scale. The kit has a solid photo-etched brass flight deck. The engraved deck with all the tie downs reproduced really sets this kit apart. Four sheets of photo-etched brass parts are included that amount to over 1200 parts. The sheets are so detailed that even the 40mm guns have gun sights. 24 aircraft are included in the kit. You get 8 F6F Hellcats, 8 TBF Avengers, and 8 SBD Dauntless dive bombers. All planes have brass propellers and landing gear. The SBD's even have brass dive brakes. All small parts are made in fine pewter.
